Doesn't video add bias or noise to the hiring process?

Nope! In using one-way video interviews as a mandatory step in the process, Unilever saw a 16% increase in diverse teams. Video answers empower us to focus on ability first and knock out unconscious bias used in screening resumes. Also, applicants can’t see the question in advance and only get two tries to answer, so Showcase is a great proxy for a phone interview question.

Where does Showcase fit in my hiring funnel?

Showcase video screens are usually an intermediate step after shortlisting the top 30% of resumes and before spending hiring manager hours connecting 1-to-1 on a call. However, we’ve recently seen more customers using Showcase as a mandatory first step in the hiring process to give everyone a shot and widen the top-of-funnel. The choice is yours!

What roles does Showcase work on? Where isn't it effective?

Our platform works across your organization - we’ve seen high satisfaction from data engineers, to factory managers and financial analysts. It’s less effective for senior roles, where you’re usually selling on the first call. We’ve seen customers use Showcase to free up time spent screening at the junior and mid levels and reallocate that time to their senior level roles.

Why is your pricing per video instead of per seat or per job slot?

When your first team member joins Showcase, they invite five other team members on average. We believe remote teams should hire collaboratively, which is why we offer unlimited seats and unlimited job slots at a single price.

How do applicants feel about one-way video interviews?

The world has changed - the in-person interview is dead, unemployment is at Great Depression levels and we’re spending hours speaking to a webcam. Applicants get it and just want a shot, which is why we see 60% to 90% of those invited submitting videos. Also, if you choose not to move forward with a candidate, we’re happy to make their video answers available for them to use, so their time investment can still add value later in their search.
